Kāpō Māori Aotearoa (KMA) is recruiting a person who can:

  • Work in an organization that is governed and operates in accordance to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, matauranga me ngā tikanga Māori, and encourages the learning and application of Te Reo Māori in day-to-day work activities.

  • Support and assist KMA members, tangata whaikaha Māori service users, and their whanau throughout Aotearoa to achieve their aspirations.

  • Lead the KMA operations team.

 

About the Role:

  • Employment type:  Contract for Service

  • Salary Range:  $90,000-$95,000 per annum pro rata.

  • Hours per week:  30.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations, oversee staff, and handle any tasks that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) may wish to delegate.

Key Accountabilities:

■ In partnership with the CEO:

  • Implement effective project controls and assurance systems.

  • Establish robust internal systems and controls.

  • Oversee KMA public and community communication and branding.

  • Develop and maintain sector leading integrity and probity measures.

  • Develop, lead, and embed a strong Te Ao Māori centred operations culture.

■ Represent the CEO as and when required.

Essential Requirements

■ In-depth understanding of ‘Te Tiriti o Waitangi’, matauranga Māori me ngā tikanga Māori.

■ Tertiary qualifications in both western and kaupapa Māori project management and / or planning and development, with extensive experience in asset management, risk management and / or planning, procurement and delivery of programs and projects
