Being Kāpō and a Counsellor

Kingi is 35 years, of Ngāti Porou and Te Whānau a Apanui descent, bilingual, married with two children and relocated from Gisborne to Auckland to take up a full-time position as a drug and alcohol counselor with the Waitemata District Health Board. Kingi has Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP).

Being Kāpō and Recovering from Trauma

Hana is a 27 year old single woman, of Te Arawa and Ngāti Tuwharetoa descent and lives in Auckland with her whānau. Hana has cortical blindness and tetraplegia, caused by a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), the result of an attack.

Edna Kaha is 35 years old of Tuhoe decent and resides with her partner Sam in South Auckland. Edna is a diabetic and has dialysis three times a week. Edna lost total vision in 2015.
